Meet the author!

Sharde Redmon was born in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from the University of North Texas with her Bachelor’s of Art degree in Psychology. Sharde’s goal is to unlock the potential and build up the confidence in tiny brown and black children who are facing adversities in life. Growing up, she also struggled with the constant question of “Why do you talk proper?”. Sharde hopes to make an early impact to her young reader’s and to embrace being different!

The journey to authorship

The journey has been a roller coaster for sure! The idea of publishing a children's book pondered in Sharde's head for about six years before making the move to make it happen.  From being ghosted by one publisher, to making deliveries with Uber Eats to fund her book, Sharde was determined at any costs to make it happen!
